RUDY GIULIANI IS OFFICIALLY THINKING ABOUT RUNNING: “Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, a moderate Republican best known for his stewardship of the city after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, has taken the first step in a 2008 presidential bid, GOP officials said Monday. The former mayor filed papers to create the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee, Inc., creating a panel that would allow him to raise money for a White House run and travel the country.”
When a politician is “thinking” about running …. that is politico speak for “I am 99.9% sure I am running.” Also, I saw McCain on with Russert on Sunday. Clearly, he is running. Although I thought the interview was pretty funny. It reminded me of that skit that McCain did on SNL when he hosted a few years ago. In the skit, Russert was saying “are you sure you aren’t going to run in ’04? ….. If President Bush forgets to run, will you be a candidate in ’04?” No doubt. He’s a candidate. I am still waiting to see who will be the conservative in this race.
