I beg you. Please, do not vote for Obama.
Candidate Obama continues to elaborate on his socialist views.
“The point is, though, that — and it’s not just charity, it’s not just that I want to help the middle class and working people who are trying to get in the middle class — it’s that when we actually make sure that everybody’s got a shot – when young people can all go to college, when everybody’s got decent health care, when everybody’s got a little more money at the end of the month – then guess what? Everybody starts spending that money, they decide maybe I can afford a new car, maybe I can afford a computer for my child. They can buy the products and services that businesses are selling and everybody is better off. All boats rise. That’s what happened in the 1990s, that’s what we need to restore. And that’s what I’m gonna do as president of the United States of America.
“John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic,” Obama continued. “You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.”
I still don’t get it. Why do people not see that what he is discussing is code for socialism?
Come on, America. WAKE UP!
This is a guy who REPEATEDLY attended socialist conferences and tried to convince his family to become socialists (It’s documented.). He attended multiple meetings of the Chicago Democratic Socialists of America. Obama endorsed Bernie Sanderson – the only open socialist Senator. The Chicago Democratic Socislists endorsed his candidacy! Obama wants to normalize relations with Cuba (SOCIALISTS).
The genius of Obama is that he is selling socialism in an effective way. He speaks of “fairness”. Well, who the hell is going to argue with “fairness”? He cites “selfishness” as the reasons behind those who oppose his views.
Obama would love for you to believe that you are not rich. But, notice what he is doing. His numbers are constantly changing. He starts out saying that the “rich” are making $250,000. Then, Biden comes along and suggests that a middle class person is making $150,000. And, now, you are reading articles saying that Obama is concerned about heightened expectations among those who believe he is the Obamessiah. Why do you think he is concerned about this? Because, he knows he can’t do what he plans to do and keep his promises to everyone.
And, if you are among the Obama “rich”, is it your duty and responsibility to support an ever-growing class of people in this country? Currently, 30% of the individuals in this country pay no tax at all. And, no wonder that this 30% support taxing those who make more money than them… BECAUSE IT IS GOING TO THEM. So, if you are among Obama’s “rich”, is it your duty to support with your hard-earned money an even greater number of individuals who pay nothing at all? Is that “fairness”? Because I make money, I have to support someone else? Is that fairness, Obama? Am I “selfish” because I want to support my family and don’t think that I should have my tax burden increased so I can support someone else’s family?
This election scares the hell out of me. Why? Because, I have had some frightening discussions with Obama disciples. And, not one of these people can explain WHY they are voting for him… other than “we need change”. What is that? What is change? What are his policies? What is he absolutely committed to? Not round-about generalizations… POLICIES. It is not about rhetoric. It is about action and policies. Why can’t the voters for Obama see that?
I was not a fan of Bill Clinton. But, I always respected his intellect and his grasp of policy. Like him or hate him, Clinton ALways had a “5-part plan”, outlining what he would do on most any issue. But, what are the policies of the Obamessiah? What will he do? His naivete, inexperience, and lack of a practical vision absolutely frighten me for the future of this country. I never was a fan of Clinton but I was never “scared” under his watch. Why are people comfortable with Obama as the Commander-in-Chief?
When I see Obama, I am reminded of Harold Hill in “The Music Man”. In this musical, Hill comes into town and organizes a band. Suddenly, he becomes the most popular guy in town. And, then, people find out that he is a con artist. With Obama, what do you know about him? Daily, we are finding out something new about his past that makes him even more frightening.
Please, please, think about what you do when you go into that voting booth on Tuesday. Don’t vote your hate against “Bush”. John McCain is not George Bush. Change is always popular. But, what comes with change can be scarier than what you started out with.

“And, not one of these people can explain WHY they are voting for him…”
HA! I laughed out loud at that! A million strong for Obama and not one person can come up with a good reason for voting for him? I beg to differ. In fact, the most eloquent response to “why are you voting for Obama?” actually comes from a Republican icon. And I quote,
“I come to the conclusion that because of his ability to inspire, because of the inclusive nature of his campaign, because he is reaching out all across America, because of who he is and his rhetorical abilities — and you have to take that into account — as well as his substance — he has both style and substance,” Powell said. “He has met the standard of being a successful president, being an exceptional president.”
“Now that we have had a chance to watch her (Palin) for some seven weeks, I don’t believe she’s ready to be president of the United States, which is the job of the vice president…And so that raised some question in my mind as to the judgment that Senator McCain made.”
“Mr. McCain says that he’s a washed up terrorist, but then why do we keep talking about him(Ayers)? And why do we have the robocalls going on around the country trying to suggest that because of this very, very limited relationship that Senator Obama has had with Mr. Ayers, somehow Mr. Obama is tainted. What they’re trying to connect him to is some kind of terrorist feelings. And I think that’s inappropriate. Now, I understand what politics is all about, I know how you can go after one another and that’s good. But I think this goes too far, and I think it has made the McCain campaign look a little narrow. It’s not what the American people are looking for.”
“…he is not a Muslim, he’s a Christian. He’s always been a Christian…But the really right answer is, what if he is? Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer’s no, that’s not America. Is there something wrong with some seven-year-old Muslim-American kid believing that he or she could be president? Yet, I have heard senior members of my own party drop the suggestion, ‘He’s a Muslim and he might be associated terrorists.’ This is not the way we should be doing it in America.”
Powell defended Obama against McCain’s charge that the Democrat’s policies are quasi-socialist:
“We can’t judge our people and hold our elections on that kind of basis. Yes, that kind of negativity troubled me. And the constant shifting of the argument, I was troubled a couple of weeks ago when in the middle of the crisis the campaign said ‘we’re going to go negative,’ and they announced it. ‘We’re going to go negative and attack his character through Bill Ayers.’ Now I guess the message this week is we’re going to call him a socialist. Mr. Obama is now a socialist, because he dares to suggest that maybe we ought to look at the tax structure that we have. Taxes are always a redistribution of money. Most of the taxes that are redistributed go back to those who pay them, in roads and airports and hospitals and schools. And taxes are necessary for the common good. And there’s nothing wrong with examining what our tax structure is or who should be paying more or who should be paying less, and for us to say that makes you a socialist is an unfortunate characterization that I don’t think is accurate.”
I will have to hand it to you sir, making a “spooky” post on Halloween was classic. Although I’m not a fan of ham-fisted pulp fiction from the 50’s I was quite amused.
The only thing we have to fear is fear-mongering itself!
Good night, and good luck.

Phil, I share your sentiments. I don’t get it either. The “selfish” quote is very telling, yet it’s getting no play. If people that want lower taxes are “selfish,” then why not ask Americans to voluntarily “donate” their money to the government. Let’s just treat government like a non-profit and all make charitable contributions to it so they can dole out the funds in a manner that’s consistent with their mission. Seriously, they’ve used the word “patriotic” and “selfish” to justify their tax policies. In context, they’re advocating pulling resources from the top to distribute as they seem fit. It’s completely, completely contrary to free enterprise! Socialist is a strong word, but it’s not free enterprise for sure! The sail to America’s figurative boat is the fact that people are rewarded for innovation and job creation. What scares me most is that Obama’s rhetoric is actually sticking. A minister in the 1940s put it well when he said,
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away men’s initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.
