Jim Bryson for Governor

All indications are that Jim Bryson is running for Governor.  Clearly, people in “the know” are lined up to run against him.  Tennessee Politics Blog is reporting “that  Doug Grindstaff, Williamson County Republican Party Chairman and Chairman of Bush’s campaign in Williamson in 2004, picked up papers this morning to run for Sen. Jim Bryson’s State Senate seat with the assumption that Bryson will run for Governor.”  Nathan Moore has a complete slate of possible candidates.  And, on a less important note, John Jay Hooker is running for Senator and Governor . . . . AGAIN.  He has been going down-hill quickly since he got onstage drunk and conceded his bid for Senator in the 1970s and then went belly-up in that ever-so-successful “Minnie Pearl’s Fried Chicken”.  Anyone remember that one?
