Jim Cooper’s lack of popularity

In Tennessee, you have to work pretty hard to be a “do little” Congressman and be this unpopular, in Nashville.  Jim Cooper’s approval rating is significantly lower than the President.  He is at 47% popularity, compared with Obama’s 66%, while 41% hold him in an unfavorable light.

I think this is problematic for Cooper.  Congressmen do not get many opportunities to sell and redefine themselves.  And, let’s face it… he is not exactly Mr. Charisma.  So, I think he is particularly vulnerable to a decent challenger.
