Good to see the Democrats are back to their old tricks

9 June, 2008 (06:35) | Barack Obama | By: Phil Ayres

Lately,. I have begun to observe Democrats becoming more bold.  Meaning, I am starting to hear more of them talking like their Dukakis, Mondal”ian” roots.  Flash back to yesterday.  I was watching Meet the Press.  (By the way, Tim Russert conducted a “softball interview” with Jim Webb of VA.  I thought he was going to start asking him challenging questions like “what’s your shoe size?” and “what’s your favorite color?”.  To be expected.  Russert would do anything to see Obama in the White House.)

So, anyway, I really wasn’t all that surprised to hear Jim Webb, one of Obama’s possibilities for VP talk about introducing a graduated tax for capital gains.  That’s right.  That’s really what we need, right?  A more complex tax structure.  Right?  Because, it just wasn’t complicated enough.  And, “let’s punish all of those pesky rich people who are creating the jobs for the rest of Americans and who will ultimately bring this economy out of a recession.”

Anyway, it really is interesting to hear Democrats of today like Jim Webb sound like Mondale, circa 1984.

The truth about Barack?

Rich makes some points that make you wonder, for sure.

The Jihad Candidate
by Rich Carroll

Conspiracy theories make for interesting novels when the storyline is not so absurd that it can grasp our attention. ‘The Manchurian Candidate’ and ‘Seven Days in May’ are examples of plausible chains of events that captures the reader’s imagination at best-seller level. ‘What if’ has always been the solid grist of fiction.

Get yourself something cool to drink, find a relaxing position, but before you continue, visualize the television photos of two jet airliners smashing into the Twin Towers in lower Manhattan and remind yourself this cowardly act of Muslim terror was planned for eight years.

How long did it take Islam and their oil money to find a candidate for President of the United States? As long as it took them to place a Senator from Illinois and Minnesota? The same amount of time to create a large Muslim enclave in Detroit? The time it took them to build over 2,000 mosques in America? The same amount of time required to place radical wahabbist clerics in our military and prisons as ‘chaplains’?

Find a candidate who can get away with lying about their father being a ‘freedom fighter’ when he was actually part of the most corrupt and violent government in Kenya’s history. Find a candidate with close ties to The Nation of Islam and the violent Muslim overthrow in Africa, a candidate who is educated among white infidel Americans but hides his bitterness and anger behind a superficial toothy smile. Find a candidate who changes his American name of Barry to the Muslim name of Barack Hussein Obama, and dares anyone to question his true ties under the banner of ‘racism’. Nurture this candidate in an atmosphere of anti-white American teaching and surround him with Islamic teachers. Provide him with a bitter, racist, anti-white, anti-American wife, and supply him with Muslim middle east connections and Islamic monies. Allow him to be clever enough to get away with his anti-white rhetoric and proclaim he will give $834 billion taxpayer dollars to the Muslim controlled United Nations for use in Africa.

Install your candidate in an atmosphere of deception, because questioning him on any issue involving Africa or Islam would be seen as ‘bigoted racism’; two words too powerful to allow the citizenry to be informed of facts. Allow your candidate to employ several black racist Nation of Islam Louis Farrakhan followers as members of his Illinois Senatorial and campaign staffs.

Where is the bloodhound American ‘free press’ who doggedly overturned every stone in the Watergate case? Where are our nation’s reporters that have placed every Presidential candidate under the microscope of detailed scrutiny; the same press who pursue Bush’s ‘Skull and Bones’ club or ran other candidates off with persistent detective and research work? Why haven’t ‘newsmen’ pursued the 65 blatant lies told by this candidate during the Presidential primaries? Where are the stories about this candidate’s cousin and the Muslim butchery in Africa? Since when did our national press corps become weak, timid, and silent? Why haven’t they regaled us with the long list of socialists and communists who have surrounded this ‘out of nowhere’ Democrat candidate or the fact that his church re-printed the Hamas Manifesto in their bulletin, and that his ‘close pastor friend and mentor’ met with Middle East terrorist Muammar Qaddafi, (Guide of the First of September Great Revolution of the Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya)? Why isn’t the American press telling us this candidate is supported by every Muslim organization in the world?

As an ultimate slap in the face, be blatant in the fact your candidate has ZERO interest in traditional American values and has the most liberal voting record in U.S. Senate history. Why has the American mainstream media clammed up on any negative reporting on Barak Hussein Obama? Why will they print Hillary Rodham Clinton’s name but never write his middle name? Is it not his name? Why, suddenly, is ANY information about this candidate not coming from mainstream media, but from the blogosphere by citizens seeking facts and the truth? Why isn’t our media connecting the dots with Islam? Why do they focus on ‘those bad American soldiers’ while Islam slaughters non-Muslims daily in 44 countries around the globe? Why does our media refer to Darfur as ‘ethnic cleansing’ instead of what it really is: Muslims killing non-Muslims! There is enough strange, anti-American activity surrounding Barack Hussein Obama to pique the curiosity of any reporter. WHERE IS OUR INVESTIGATIVE MEDIA!?

A formal plan for targeting America was devised three years after the Iranian revolution in 1982. The plan was summarized in a 1991 memorandum by Mohammed Akram, an operative of the global Muslim Brotherhood. ‘The process of settlement’ of Muslims in America, Akram explained, ‘is a civilization jihad process.’ This means that members of the Brotherhood must understand that their work in ‘America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.’

There is terrorism we can see, smell and fear, but there is a new kind of terror invading The United States in the form of Sharia law and finance. Condoning it is civilization suicide. Middle East Muslims are coming to America in record numbers and building hate infidel mosques, buying our corporations, suing us for our traditions, but they and the whole subject of Islam is white noise leaving uninformed Americans about who and what is really peaceful. Where is our investigative press? Any criticism of Islam or their intentions, even though Islamic leaders state their intentions daily around the globe, brings forth a volley of ‘racist’ from the left-wing Democrat crowd.

Lies and deception behind a master plan - the ingredients for ‘The Manchurian Candidate’ or the placement of an anti-American President in our nation’s White House? Is it mere coincidence that an anti-capitalist run for President at the same time Islamic Sharia finance and law is trying to make advancing strides into the United States? Is it mere coincidence this same candidate wants to disarm our nuclear capability at a time when terrorist Muslim nations are expanding their nuclear weapons capability? Is it mere coincidence this candidate wants to reduce our military at a time of global jihad from Muslim nations?

Change for America? What change? To become another ‘nation of Islam’?

Bob Barr for President: an Exercise in Futility

12 May, 2008 (12:13) | Barack Obama | By: Phil Ayres

Is there anyone out there who is actually going to vote for this guy?  It is not like he is dynamic or even remotely impressive.  I hear ya’.  McCain is not - by any stretch - a conservative.  But, I ask you, is he more conservative than Barack Obama?  Because those are your choices.

And, in reality, do you think there is any way in hell that Bob Barr can get elected?  So, effectively, if you vote for Bob Barr, you might as well be throwing in a ballot for Obama, Reverend Wright, and all of his supporters.

Bill Moyers — worst journalist in America

26 April, 2008 (20:31) | Barack Obama | By: Phil Ayres

The other night, I had to laugh at Bill Moyers treatment of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright. I found his completely softball questions to be a disgrace to the journalism profession. It was like he was doing a job interview with Reverend Wright. Actually, it was more like Reverend Wright was doing an infomercial and he hired Bill Moyers to be the host of the infomercial. Just ridiculous.

Gore for President - still???

30 March, 2008 (18:13) | Barack Obama, Al Gore, Hillary Clinton | By: Phil Ayres

Interesting article in the London Telegraph … Apparently, some Democrats are still entertaining the idea of having Gore as the Democratic Presidential nominee. Not a bad idea if you are a Democrat. Gore is no longer perceived as the perpetually political and annoyingly partisan sidekick of Bill. He is a man in his own right. Gore has proven to be a force in business and on the world stage. And, frankly, he has proven to be right about a few things. I think he would be tough for McCain to beat.

But, how do you reconcile this as a Democrat? How do you tell all of the Obama and Hillary die-hards that their votes mean nothing? It is probably the smart move. But, is it really? Would it alienate too many voters? Or, would those same voters who cast votes for Obama and Hillary embrace such a change?

Addendum to this post….. I talked with one of my dear work friends and committed Democrats this morning… her analysis was “No way.  This would never happen.  BS.  People would revolt.”  There you go.

Black Tuesday for the Conservative Movement

6 February, 2008 (10:17) | Barack Obama, John McCain, Hillary Clinton | By: Phil Ayres

At this point, I am disgusted with the options that the Republican Party has in this race.  John McCain is the great anathema of the conservative movement.  He “courts” conservatives.  Yet, his record speaks otherwise.  I cannot support him unless I see a radical change in his thought process… a change in which I would not be likely to trust.

I am absolutely in disbelief that he effectively has the nomination in the bag.  This is truly a sad day for the Republican Party.

And, I “feel dirty” when I hear McCain talk about how “you should vote for me because I am the best bet for beating Democrats in the fall”… Let me translate… because I lie in bed with Ted Kennedy and Russell Feingold and I am the closest thing to being a liberal Democrat without declaring myself to be, I think you should vote for me… because, since I am so in the middle… I stand a great chance of beating the Democrats in the Fall.

Personally, I see no difference between John McCain and Barack Obama or Hillary…. except that they are in favor of pulling out of Iraq.  Other than that, what is the difference?  Please, elaborate if you have an answer.

I really don’t know what to do.  I am starting to think that the best thing for the Republican Party would be a good ass-kicking in the Fall…and a Barack Obama or Hillary Presidency - where the Republican Party could return to its roots and rediscover its ideological origins…. as opposed to 8 years of a President who is in no way committed to conservative virtues… and effectively takes the Republican Party further away from where it should be.

I am really wrestling with this one.  I am not disappointed with the electorate.  I am disappointed in the options that the electorate has had to choose from.  Truly a sad day.

First results in at Dixville Notch

8 January, 2008 (08:50) | Barack Obama, John McCain | By: Phil Ayres

Historically, just after midnight, in NH, on the day of the primary… Dixville Notch is the first precinct to cast its votes.  The results…. McCain won with 4 votes and Obama won with 7.  Obama and McCain also won in midnight voting in Hart’s Location (population 42).

Though these polling locations are somewhat equivalent to Bucksnort, TN, I predict this is the way it will go, today.

Oprah promoting Obama? Too bad (for him) he’s not a book!

8 December, 2007 (18:08) | Barack Obama | By: Phil Ayres

Typically, I am amazed at how and why people buy books because Oprah tells them to.  Astounded actually.  So, now, Oprah thinks she can duplicate her success with books in the political arena by campaigning for Obama.  There may be a few somewhat ignorant people that will vote for Obama just because “Oprah” tells them to.

But, this is completely different.  People are naturally inclined to vote for a particular party or candidate, anyway.  And, frankly, there are many factors that go into someone’s choice for President…. factors that don’t play into whether you will spend $29.95 on a book.  Frankly, I think that Oprah is harming herself.  I never really cared that much for the great media machine anyway.  It has always seemed to me that she was a bit overrated.  And, to put herself in the camp of celebrities like Barbara “the ignorant” Streisand is probably not the best move for her.  I feel that it will (and already has) alienate many of her loyal viewers, subscribers, and readers.  I always feel that it is ridiculous when celebrities who have no particular expertise on anything more than the average voter has think that they can contribute their star power to a candidate’s campaign - and make a difference.  Seems pretty arrogant.

Candidates on DIGG, are you kidding me?

21 November, 2007 (12:46) | 2008 Presidential Election, Barack Obama, 2008 Presidential Race | By: Phil Ayres

If you think that these candidates are “DIGGING”, than, you probably also still believe that “there are some darn weapons o’ mass destruction SOMEwhere in Iraq.”  I would hope that someone who is running for President doesn’t have that much time to DIGG.

I would seriously doubt that Obama is hanging out on DIGG.  Rather, if he is doing anything, methinks it is some lowly staffer who has time in his or her day to explore social media.

Barack Obama … a Google guy

14 November, 2007 (15:39) | Barack Obama | By: Phil Ayres

A saw this post on Techcrunch, discussing how Obama’s platform tends to be very “Google-friendly”.
