Van should bow out – a clarification

Apparently, I created a small firestorm of controversy with my comments yesterday about how Van should gracefully bow out of this campaign.  Some have taken offense to my statements.  However, I want to clarify here that my comments were in no way designed to malign another Republican.  That is not what this primary is about.  I am simply stating that we must – as Republicans – and, specifically, as conservatives – put up the best candidate that we can in order to beat Ford.

Momentum is a powerful force in politics.  Can Van Hilleary supporters actually effectively argue that Van has momenutum?  He is running 3rd in fundraising and his numbers consistently run in 3rd place.  I am simply arguing that – if, in weeks to come, the current trend continues, Van must look out for the good the party – specifically, conservatives.  It is time for Van to take a “gut check” and think about his future in this race.
